SKIL - wood workshop
The Student Kreativity and Innovation Lab is a makerspace open to all the bachelor and master students at EPFL.
You will be able to find specific expertise regarding materials and structure including
- wood-working workshop + expertise),
- concrete (only expertise)
- composite material processing (only expertise).
SPOT - general prototyping
The Student Prototyping and Outreach Tank is a makerspace open to all the bachelor and master students at EPFL. In the free access area you can use basic tools to assemble/tests your prototype. You also have access to IT ressources, a computer room, storage room (limited) and spaces to meet with your team and ideate. This space is one of the central contact points for prototyping at EPFL. Feel free to come by, explore, and ask any questions you may have. Competent and passionate coaches and student assistants will be happy to answer your questions and guide you in the development of your prototyping journey. And don’t forget: the sooner you ask questions in the prototyping process, the easier it will be to guide you in the right direction!

Equipped with precision tools and top-of-the-line gear, this is the place to turn your bare boards into functioning tech wonders. Whether you're placing tiny components or making those perfect solder joints, we've got everything you need to bring your electronics to life, one connection at a time. Time to make those PCBs shine!
This room is exclusively reserved for PCB assembly. To use is you need to come discuss with your coach as soon as possible

The space has two welding equipment, TIG and MIG
SPOT - mechanics - laser room
The laser room is equipped with a CO2 laser for cutting wood, plastic, cork, cardboard, etc., and a fiber laser for cutting steel, stainless steel, and aluminum plates up to 5mm thick.

LPAC - composite materials
The Laboratory for Processing Advanced composites is temporarily helping the MAKE initiative by supporting different projects in manufacturing part in composite materials
DLL - bioengineering
The DLL bioengineering is a wet lab providing the necessary equipment to work with biological material.
DLL - materials
The DLL materials is providing equipment to characterize materials and to test the rigidity of materials.
DLL - other
Even though DLLs are equiped to welcome large classes of students for hands-on training, other equipment might be useful for project based learning in the network of DLLs.
ATME
The professional workshop of the mechanical institute (ATME) is a mechanical workshop specialised (among other competencies) into CNC machining of complexe surfaces. Students must come in the SKIL or the SPOT first before solliciting a professional workshop.
ATPR - ATelier de Production de Robotique
The professional workshop of Robotic Production of the microtechic institute (ATPR) is a mechanical workshop specialised (among other competencies) into high precision machining of small and complex parts. Students must come in the SKIL or the SPOT first before solliciting a professional workshop.
ACI
The professional workshop of Printing Circuit Board of the electrical institute (ACI) is an electronic workshop specialised (among other competencies) into printing printed circuit boards and advising on PCB designs before production. Students must come in the SKIL or the SPOT first before solliciting a professional workshop.
AFA
The professional workshop of Additive Manufacturing (AFA) is a workshop specialised (among other competencies) into professional additive manufacturing (3D printing). Students must come in the SKIL or the SPOT first before solliciting a professional workshop.
ATMX
The professional workshop of of the institute of Material Sciences (ATMX) is a mechanical workshop specialised (among other competencies) into specific manufacting for complexe materials (water jet cutting and EDM are examples). Students must come in the SKIL or the SPOT first before solliciting a professional workshop.
PLTE
The Technical Platform of the ENAC faculty (PLTE) is a workshop with varied competencies. Students must come in the SKIL or the SPOT first before solliciting a professional workshop.
Atelier Chimie
The Chemical workshop is a mechanical workshop with varied competencies. Students must come in the SKIL or the SPOT first before solliciting a professional workshop.
Atelier physique BSP
The Cubotron workshop is a mechanical workshop of the physic section with varied competencies. Students must come in the SKIL or the SPOT first before solliciting a professional workshop.

Meeting room for 5-10 people, equiped with a television.
SPOT - meeting room 2
Meeting room for 5-10 people, with a television
SPOT - meeting room 3
Meeting room for 10-15 people, equipped with a camera set up for better experience if participants join remotely.
SPOT - conference room
The conference room of the SPOT can welcome up to 50 people. It is equiped with a camera system and microphones if participants join a conference remotely.
ROBOPOLY - general prototyping
Robopoly is a makerspace and robotics club at EPFL. We give you access to all the resources you need to start your own project (tools, machines, 3D printers...), and to a workshop where you can talk with other passionates, get inspired and develop your ideas. As a commission of AGEPoly, you'll find us during many events on the campus !
