Trainings
A number of training courses are required or suggested to gain access to certain tools and workshops of the MAKE prototyping network. Tutorials are also available to help you progress in prototyping.

SPOT - 3D Printing

Dedicated on-site training that gives you access to the 3D printing room (@SPOT) and level 2 printers (Prusa MK3 et MK4 printers).
SKIL - Safety Visit
Login Required
This training is an introductory visit to the SKIL. It allows each student to tour the facility, become familiar with the spaces, and learn about the safety rules in place. At the end of this training, you will have access to the SKIL building during official opening hours and will be allowed to use the machines and tools available for self-service.

This top-quality training will provide you with all the basics for safely making your first laser cut. The goal is to introduce you to the necessary tools and conditions to ensure everything goes as smoothly as possible. The training gives access to the SPOT and SKIL CO2 laser cutting machines

SPOT - Mechanical Workshop

This training gives you access to the mechanical workshop.
SPOT - Electronics PCB assembly room
Without Registration

This training give access to PCB assembly room of the SPOT. For this training no slot registration is required. You just need to go in the SPOT electronics workshop with you're project and ask Sylvain (sylvain.hauser@epfl.ch) for a personal training.

SPOT - Sewing and Embroidery Machine

- Sewing Machine Cabinet
This amazing training, lovingly provided by Simon, will allow you to benefit from his years of experience in the textile field. For this training, you don't need to sign up for an available slot. Just come to the SPOT with your project and ask Simon directly for the training. This training gives you access to the sewing machine of the SPOT. However you won't have access to the embroidery equipments, you have to ask Simon Lütolf for more details
