MICRO-301 - Manufacturing technologies
Reverse engineer an object from everyday life
Description
The reverse engineering project, students in team of three propose a product they would like to investigate.
For the chosen product, through disassembly and observations, they identify the manufacturing processes that were used to manufacture it, analyze the technical choices that were made, and discuss possible variants as well as related sustainability aspects.
End-of-project objective
Dismantle an existing object and imagine the requirements and manufacturing processes that were necessary to design and build it
Number of students
There are usually 50-60 students doing this project.
