Designing life with AI
Predict 3D folding of protein based on RNA sequence
Description
Students in this MAKE project learn to use cutting-edge AI models to design and predict 3D structures of proteins to solve challenging problems in basic and applied research. Students initiate projects by identifying an important need. They propose solutions involving novel proteins, design these computationally, and test them in vivo in the wet lab.
End-of-project objective
Build your own protein in the laboratory and test if it fulfills its specific function.
Number of students
There are usually 20-30 students doing this project.
