EMBRYO - Neodrive

Bridging the gap between bikes and cars

Neodrive - Project

Project Neodrive is a student initiative aiming to explore the design space and build a (very) light hybrid human-electric vehicle that sit between the car and the bike. we aim to be 10-50 times more energy-efficient than the best commercial cars (electric/ICE).

This project is not just about constructing a prototype, it’s about learning how to create mobility solutions that truly make a positive impact on the planet and society. We will explore sustainable design, energy optimization, and systemic thinking to ensure that our vehicle contributes to a greener and more efficient future.

Participants will gain hands-on experience in systemic thinking, battery sizing, ergonomic, powertrain design, human psychology, control systems, socilogy and vehicle dynamics, as well as rapid prototyping and building full-scale ergonomic mockups to get data fron real user and improve the design. The project emphasizes efficiency, comfort, usability, and safety, offering a unique opportunity to experiment with real-world constraints and innovate at the intersection of mechanics, electronics, and human-centered design. By joining Project Neodrive, students will not only develop technical skills but also understand the broader context of eco-conscious mobility, learning to assess whether a solution is truly sustainable, scalable, and beneficial for society.
