Make for credits
As part of the EPFL's official courses, MAKE for credits offers students the opportunity to create a project from scratch, crafting a functional prototype within a 14-week span within a teams composed of 2-5 students. By enrolling in these courses, students develop proficiency in rapid prototyping. This entails creating and testing a prototype quickly using the school's makerspaces.

How to propose a project
These courses are only proposed by professors.
It is recommended to contact well in advance Julien Delisle (MAKE coordinator) and Samuel Cotture
(SPOT and SKIL director), to ensure your course will be able to access the makerspaces and its resources.
Integrating rapid prototyping in the existing curriculum is a strong added value. Not only to reinforce the theoretical knowledge but also to widen the skillsets of EPFL students.

Typical milestones
Course projects involving prototyping are usually lasting an academic semester, which is quite short to successfully build a functional prototype! At the end of the project:
- Students showcase their functional prototypes during the last weeks of the semester
- Next to their functional prototypes, they have a written report/technical documentation to provide
Resources for teachers and coaches
The goal it to bring together examples of outstanding courses illustrating the possibilities that are offered to facilitate the development of hand’s on competences as well as transversal skills. In close collaboration with CAPE and LEARN, these approaches will contribute to a better understanding of the pedagogical methodologies that can be deployed to foster quality learning.
