Dr. Cédric Duchêne is currently Head of Electronics & Systems Engineering at the EPFL ECAL Lab. He advises EPFL students involved in MAKE projects and he also lectures at ECAL/Ecole cantonale d’art de Lausanne, where he teaches BA and MA courses on practical electronics, rapid prototyping, and microcontroller programming, while supervising students’ final projects. He has established the Electronic Maker Lab, an experimental platform dedicated to teaching and learning electronics at EPFL/Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne.
A strong program and project management professional, Dr. Duchêne is skilled in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Audio & Signal Processing, and Research and Development (R&D). Over time, he also developed expertise as a Sound Designer, driven by his passion for sound and audio-related projects, as well as his experience as a musician and natural curiosity.
