ME-320 - Product dev and engineering design
Design and build a robot gripper
Description
The course introduces product development and the application of fundamental mechanics to develop engineering solutions. This focuses on the product development process including ideation, design selection, engineering analysis, prototyping and life cycle analysis.
End-of-project objective
Have a functional gripper to participate to the internal and friendly competition organized by the CREATE lab. The gripper must be able to grab an egg, a banana and many other challenging objects.
Number of students
There are usually 100-110 students doing this project.
