How to use a specific software?

These software and licences are reserved for interdisciplinary projects. This license pool includes different software and programs from those used for EPFL courses and has a limited number of licenses. Therefore, it's important to use them only for interdisciplinary projects.

To use software or a software license provided for interdisciplinary projects, it's important to ensure that you meet the conditions outlined in the following procedure. Notably, it's essential to be registered as a member of an interdisciplinary project.

To use software or a software license, you must first agree to the terms of use (EULA) via the following link: https://support.epfl.ch/epfl?id=epfl_eula_conditions

Once on the page, search for the corresponding software name, carefully read the terms (even the fine print ;-) ), and accept the conditions.

After completing this, you can check if you belong to the appropriate group on the following site: https://groups.epfl.ch/. Look at the list of groups you belong to, and check if there is one related to the specific software (the exact naming depends on the software, but mostly starts with eula, e.g., EULA_Research_ansys-users or eula-solidworks. If yes, you are a valid user and you will be able to launch the software on our computers.
