ASSOCIATIVE - How EPFL associations can benefit from using the makerspaces and under what conditions ?

Associations recognized by EPFL can ask to use the makerspaces of EPFL (SPOT and SKIL) for their associative projects.

Here are the steps to follow:

1. Meet with Samuel Cotture and Julien Delisle for a first discussion on your project ideas
2. To be accepted, the project must have
   1. a logistical plan of the resources they need (equipment needed, storage, period of use of equipment and storage, specific expertise f a coach)
   2. a pedagogical interest,
   3. how many students will need access approximately
   4. be realistic given the resources we have and our priority to support courses and MAKE projects (avoid using makerspaces the last 4-5 weeks of academic semesters)
   5. all of the above will be evaluated by the the MAKE team to ensure it will not disturb MAKE projects or credited EPFL courses also using the makerspaces
3. If validated, the MAKE team will create a “client” in the system to facilitate invoicing and the use of the makerspace for the participants
4. At any time if a student association is impacting negatively other projects (MAKE or courses). The MAKE team reserve the right to restrict temporarily the access the makerspace
